BRIQUETTING PRESS

The press consists of:
Electrical system – controls the hydraulic system of the press. The system features four electric motors:
1. Main motor: 30 kW – drives the main hydraulic pumps
2. 1.1 kW – drives the hydraulic oil cooling pump
3. 0.55 kW – drives the oil cooler ventilation fan
4. 1.5 kW – drives the sawdust feed auger
The operation of motors and hydraulic valves is controlled by a microprocessor with expansion modules via contactors and intermediate solid-state relays. For visualization and parameter adjustment, there is a liquid crystal display with control buttons.
Hydraulic system – manages hydraulic cylinder operation via pumps, high and low-pressure valves, electromagnetic hydraulic valves, and hoses. There are three hydraulic cylinders: the main cylinder for sawdust compression, a vertical cylinder for initial sawdust compaction, and the form cylinder for pushing finished briquettes out of the mold. The system also includes an oil cooling system with a pump and air cooler. Oil filtration is provided by a main high-capacity filter, a cooler filter, and a fine filtration filter.

The raw material feed is performed by an integrated feed hopper. Material entering the hopper is intermittently mixed to prevent bridging. The mixer is powered by the auger’s gear motor via a chain. The auger cyclically feeds material into the vertical cylinder shaft. The hopper includes two raw material level sensors (lower and upper). If the hopper is enlarged, the sensors can be repositioned as needed.
Control – dual operational modes: manual and automatic. All control equipment is integrated into the electrical cabinet. Automatic mode is intended for normal press operation without operator intervention. Manual mode is intended for setup, troubleshooting, cylinder repositioning, and emergency situations. Operation is facilitated by the display on the electrical cabinet door, allowing parameter viewing and adjustment, and displaying press status and error messages.
