The SB-10 grinding machine enables flawless grinding of boring bars, threading tools, parting tools, or boring rods made from HSS or carbide, for use in jig boring machines or lathes. By adjusting the rake angle to match the material, you achieve optimal tool performance and extended tool life. Nowadays, these boring bars are still often ground manually before being used on high-quality machine tools.

On the SB-10, the tools are ground using a profile wheel with a custom-shaped grinding wheel edge. The desired profile is easily achieved with a dressing diamond and a template mounted on the machine. For excellent stability and surface quality, the horizontal slide runs on cross-roller guideways.
