Description:
Weima high-performance shredders, with their flexible application possibilities, can process all types of wood materials (hardwood, softwood, chipboard, MDF, plywood, veneer residues, etc.) into fuel chips and achieve a considerable volume reduction of bulky material.

Functionality:

The machine is equipped with a large feed hopper and can be loaded either by conveyor belt or manually. The hopper can be adapted to individual requirements and guarantees continuous and economical material feeding, without the need for manual assistance.

The hydraulically controlled pusher feeds the wood waste to be shredded into the cutting area of the rotor and is automatically and load-dependently controlled. The internal pusher guides are made of highly wear-resistant plastic (polyamide) and can be adjusted. The hydraulic cylinders are mounted in a cardanic suspension to avoid transverse forces on the piston seals.

The patented and profiled V-rotor made of solid steel has a diameter of 252 mm and operates at a rotor speed of 80 - 120 rpm. The concavely sharpened, aggressive, and four-way reversible knives/cutting crowns are located in milled knife pockets on special knife holders. This patented system, by enabling a minimized cutting gap between counter knife and rotor, guarantees high throughput rates, low energy consumption, and optimal discharge of the shredded material.

The screen mounted under the rotor determines the chip size (10 - 100 mm). If required, a hydraulically opening screen basket is also available.

Power transmission from the electric motor is via V-belts to a heavily dimensioned gearbox, which is mounted on one end of the rotor shaft.
