C) Application of the GRECON HS 120 line
The GRECON HS 120 line is designed for throughfeed finger jointing of short wooden components and joining them into continuous lamellas up to approx. 6100 mm in length.
Used for production of:
- furniture panels
- worktops
- structural components
- solid wood battens and semi-finished products
D) Personnel and number of operators
The GRECON HS 120 line with ABB automatic loading (2 pallet cells, alternating operation) requires operation by 1 operator.
E) Production process
1. Pallets with pre-sorted wooden components are fed to the loading cell.
2. The ABB robot picks elements from the pallets and loads them onto the GRECON HS 120 line’s belt magazine.
3. The line performs throughfeed machining of male and female finger joints on the wood components.
4. The automatic applicator applies glue (quality controlled with the GlueEye Vision system).
5. The pre-jointing station joins elements to the required length.
6. The crosscut saw cuts the lamella to the required size and transfers it to the press.
7. The press holds the component until the glue has fully cured.
8. Finished lamellas are placed on the scissor lift, undergo quality control, and are transported to the roller storage.
