For sale: complete, fully automated line for joining wooden elements with microfinger joints, based on the WEINIG GRECON HS 120 shaper. The line is designed for industrial production of finger-jointed (lengthwise glued) wooden elements. An ideal solution for facilities processing scantlings and battens, where high output, repeatability, and stable joint quality are required.

The entire process is automated and designed for continuous operation, with minimal operator intervention.

Line composition and equipment

WEINIG GRECON HS 120 finger joint shaper – year 2018
Complete line including brush infeed conveyor for wooden elements, two throughfeed moulders, automatic glue application unit, pre-pressing station for finger-jointed elements, and a press with a pressing length of 6.5 metres.

Automatic shaper loading – ABB robotic station
ABB IRB 6640 four-axis robot for automatic loading of wooden pieces, maximum length 600 mm. The system is equipped with two pallet cells, enabling uninterrupted, alternating line operation. Year of robot station construction: 2021.

Automatic glue feeding system
Automatic glue suction from a 1000-litre IBC (mauser tank) to the finger jointer. Integrated automatic agitator ensures consistent glue application quality and seamless production.

Discharge after pressing – FAMAD scissor lift
FAMAD DBNA-40T DUO scissor lift installed at the shaper press, designed for receiving battens after joining. Automatic height adjustment. Worktable dimensions: 6.0 m x 1.3 m.

Material handling system
Roller conveyor system with turntables ensuring transfer of scantlings to the robotic infeed cell and on to the finger jointer. Solution enables smooth material logistics and continuous line operation.

Post-jointing roller buffer magazine
Roller buffer magazine for storing finished battens after jointing. Buffer fields with a total length of 82 metres.
