Deskripsi
WSM stationary screwdriving unit / screwdriving station
Assembly of parts for car radios and navigation systems, as well as testing of the same.
The assembly station is enclosed with a safety housing.
The service doors are equipped with monitoring switches featuring interlocking (locking mechanism).
During automatic operation, the doors are locked and can only be opened at an automatic stop or in manual mode after pressing the ‘doors’ button on the operator panel. Automatic operation cannot be started when a door is open.
Functional sequence
The station is loaded with the pre-assembled module via the transfer belt.
Below are the work steps of the automatic station during a WT cycle.
In normal operation, all 3 stations run in parallel.
- Positioning of the WT with the pre-assembled module in St.2.1
- Lowering of the carrier with the scanner and vision sensor
- Scanning of the 3 codes (front panel, front PCB, SD PCB), database matching
- Checking correct locking of the FFC in the connector
- Lifting of the carrier and lowering of the WT onto the belt
- Positioning of the WT with the pre-assembled module in St.2.2
- Positioning of the screwdriver and screwing of the front PCB
- Lowering the WT onto the belt
- Positioning of the WT with pre-assembled module in St.2.3
- Lowering the light shield and contacting, advancing the carrier with the test sensors from below
- Type-dependent testing of the SD + CD slot illumination and buttons

- Functional test of the CD eject button
- Lowering of the WT onto the belt > continue
If faults occur during testing, they are displayed and can be corrected if possible.
To do this, switch to manual mode and open the doors. After repair and restarting the automatic operation, the WT is retested in the station.
If repair is not possible (e.g. screwdriving error), the WT is marked as NIO (not OK) in the control system and will not be processed further.
Manual NIO marking and ejection are also possible.
