ZERMA GSH

The ZERMA GSH series granulators are exceptionally robust machines designed for the toughest demands, tailored to the diverse requirements of modern recycling operations.

The housings, constructed from heavy-duty steel weldments, withstand even extraordinary loads. Bearings, knife mounts, and rotor shafts are significantly oversized to ensure maximum durability. With simple conversion, both solid lumps and thick-walled pipes, as well as hollow bodies and films, can be efficiently processed.

Depending on the specific application (including for temperature-sensitive materials), various rotor configurations are available, all of which incorporate one key feature: advanced V-cut technology.

Each GSH series machine consistently produces high-quality granulate—whether from bottle crates, profiles, sheets, films, startup lumps, or pipes. These machines are economical, highly reliable, easy to clean, and offer a long service life.

Combined with ZERMA’s comprehensive range of options, accessories (such as extraction systems, conveyor belts, metal detectors, fines separators, roll feed systems, etc.), and spare parts, a customized shredding solution can be realized. The benefits are evident in significantly reduced costs, time, and personnel requirements.

Sophisticated housing design
The housing is split diagonally in the center, with the upper section—including the feed hopper—hydraulically opening, providing full access to the rotor for knife changes and cleaning. The screen insert is likewise held by a hydraulically pivoting screen cradle, allowing optimal accessibility for screen removal and installation. The screen insert is reversible.

Robust external bearing arrangement
Another thoughtful design feature is the external placement of bearings. Durable rolling bearings in steel housings ensure long service life and are ideal for heavy-duty applications. The external bearings prevent grease from entering the cutting chamber and, conversely, protect the bearings from fines and granulate, which is especially beneficial in wet operation.

Flywheel
To compensate for shock loads during shredding, an optional flywheel is available. Rotors are supplied as standard with a second shaft end for flywheel installation.

High operational safety
All granulators comply with EU Machinery Directives and bear the CE mark. Safety devices include, for example, run-down protection with limit switches and hydraulically unlockable check valves.
