Line for the production of round tubes and rectangular/square hollow sections from mild steel and stainless steel, with diameters ranging from 20.0 mm to 70.0 mm and wall thicknesses from 0.5 mm to 3.5 mm. Other diameter ranges can also be produced, provided an appropriate set of roller tooling is used.

The tube or closed profile is formed by rolling a steel strip of suitable width and thickness through a set of profiling rolls, followed by TIG welding. During production, the tube undergoes several processing steps, such as:
a) weld seam grinding
b) calibration
c) straightening
d) and cutting
to length.

The finished product—"raw tube"—is then subjected to further surface treatment to achieve the desired finish. Two finishing processes are available:
a) wet grinding using abrasive belts
b) and/or dry polishing with polishing wheels and compounds.

CONSTRUCTION
The tube mill is equipped with automatic SAF-brand TIG welding systems:
a) Tricathode NERTAMATIC 300 TR TIG inverter units—2 pcs.
b) Tricathode NETRINOX TH 500 TIG inverter—1 pc.
c) Welding for wall thickness 0.5 – 1.5 mm with E16 torch
d) Welding for wall thickness 1.5 – 3.5 mm with E25 torch
e) RETRISAF cooling system
