Die derzeitige Gießerei wurde 1960 erbaut und im Jahr 2000 von Ahlström an Sulzer Pumps Finland verkauft. 2016 entschied Sulzer Pumps, die Gießerei zu schließen; sie wurde daraufhin an Karhulan Foundry Oy verkauft, welche jedoch im März 2021 Insolvenz anmeldete. Die Gießerei war in ihrer Geschichte insbesondere für die Herstellung anspruchsvoller Gussteile aus hochlegierten Stählen bekannt. 2022 erwarb Karhu Assets Oy die Anlagen und Maschinen der Gießerei. Die meisten Geräte der Putzerei wurden bereits verkauft, während der Großteil der Maschinen in der Formerei und Stahlwerksabteilung noch vorhanden und verfügbar ist.
