CORMAK BS260G

Horizontal band saw with pivoting arm for metal cutting, enables cutting perpendicular to the axis of the material as well as at any angle from 0 to 60º. Material can be fed manually or via any mechanical feeder, with automatic tool feed. The blade guides are equipped with dedicated carbide plates and bearings. This has a significant impact on blade tracking, service life, straightness of the cut, precision, and cutting quality.

The saw arm is made from cast iron profile. The control panel is located adjacent to the arm. Power from the electric motor is transmitted to the drive wheel of the saw blade via a motor with a worm gearbox. The cutting blade is tensioned on two cast iron wheels using a manual tensioner and guided by an adjustable bearing and linear carbide guide system. A separate coolant tank with an electric pump is located inside. The descent speed of the saw arm (cutting speed) is hydraulically controlled. Feed rate is managed via the control panel. Two saw blade speeds are selectable: 36 and 72 m/min. In the arm rest position (after cutting), the saw blade drive is automatically switched off. Safety is ensured by blade guards and micro-switches that stop the motor after completing a cut or when any guard is opened; additional protection includes automatic saw shut-off in case of blade breakage.
