CORMAK HBS275 Bandsaw for cutting pipes, profiles, and bars is widely used in all metalworking shops where precision, quality, and cutting speed are crucial. The model is equipped with a swiveling arm (0-60°), and the saw guides are based on carbide inserts. The frame design ensures precise and quiet operation.

Machine Features

This horizontal bandsaw for metals with a swiveling arm enables cuts perpendicular to the axis of the material as well as at any angle from 0 to 60°. The material to be cut can be fed manually or by any mechanical device, while the saw feed occurs automatically. The blade guides are fitted with special carbide plates and bearings, significantly impacting blade guidance, its longevity, straightness, accuracy, and cutting quality. Carbide guidance substantially reduces machine and blade wear. The machine is equipped with a high-performance cooling pump with a closed-loop coolant system.

The saw arm, which is made from a single cast iron piece, together with the 27 mm wide blade used in this saw, allows for fully repeatable, high-volume cutting of both profiles and solid materials. The vice is located on an adjustable bed and features a quick-release clamp. The blade guides are fitted with carbide inserts and a bearing system. It is precisely the CARBIDE INSERT GUIDES that ensure cutting precision and straightness.

The arm is equipped with an automatic blade tension sensor and is tilted by 25 degrees, which increases the blade's lifespan. At the bottom of the arm, there is a cleaning brush to ensure excellent blade cleanliness and performance. The machine is driven via a worm gear transmission.

The base features a cast-iron worktable with a swiveling arm and a control panel on a separate arm. During the cutting process, the main cutting motion is performed by moving the saw blade, while the feed movement is the downward motion of the arm. The arm’s descent speed (cutting speed) is regulated by a hydraulic cylinder.

Feed speed is adjusted on the saw’s control panel. There are two blade speeds available: 37.5 and 75 m/min. When the arm reaches its lower position (after cutting the material), the drive for the saw blade is automatically switched off. Safety is ensured by blade covers and micro-switches that stop the motor after the cutting cycle or when any cover is opened. Additional safety includes automatic shutdown of the saw in case of blade breakage.
