Table: The thicknesser table is made from high-quality ground cast iron with a polished working surface (Ra 1.6 class). Height adjustment is performed via a large, ergonomic handwheel, which can be locked at the desired height using an additional cam lever.
Knives: These are key components of the planer, mounted above or below the table and responsible for removing excess material from the wood surface. The knives can be fitted onto a rotating shaft or cutterhead.
Motor: The planer is powered by an electric motor that provides the energy required to drive the cutterhead or planer shaft.
Cutterhead Guard: The guard can be freely adjusted for height, angle, and extension to match the workpiece and operation.
Feed Mechanism: The woodworking machine is equipped with drive and outfeed rollers positioned very close to the cutterhead, allowing the thicknesser to process even relatively short workpieces. The feed roller drive operates via a chain, ensuring slip-free feed (no “marking” on the workpiece).
