The 230 HD offers an extra-large 80 mm spindle bore for machining bar stock up to 2 1/2 inches (76.1 mm) in diameter. A swing over cross-slide of Ø 290 x 1,000, 1,500 or 2,000 mm and a maximum turning diameter of 460 or 700 mm leave little to be desired for machine, steel, plant and tool building—likewise, 12 speeds for 170 longitudinal and cross feeds as well as 150 leadscrew pitches for metric and imperial threads.
