Herzog LY300

This LY300 cross- and longitudinal grinding machine is used but has only seen occasional use. Its condition is very good, with only minor paint damage and a scratched machine cover showing its age.

For safety, the machine features a cover interlock switch that automatically shuts off the machine when the cover is opened. A restart protection device prevents unexpected start-up.

A clamping handle for machining short workpieces is included with this machine.

Consumables such as cutoff wheels and cup wheels can be offered additionally.

Application: Rod-shaped workpieces can be both cut to length and face-ground in a single operation. Ideal for manufacturing ejector pins.
The machine is equipped with two parallel grinding spindles: one for cutting and one for precision face grinding to final size.
The desired workpiece length is set to an accuracy of 0.01 mm using the scale.

Operating procedure:
Open prism clamp: move lever in the middle to the right and insert workpiece
Close prism clamp: move lever to the left
Cutting: move lever up (left)
Face grinding: move lever down (left)
Open prism clamp: move lever to the middle and to the right; remove finished workpiece.

The grinding wheel can be adjusted and dressed at any time without loss of the set dimension.
