Roller glue application units for edge banding machines require regular maintenance, care, and cleaning. Collected chips, burnt glue residues, and other foreign objects negatively affect a uniformly thin glue application. This applies when using EVA hot melt adhesives and especially when using PUR adhesives. When the glue pot remains inside the machine, poor accessibility limits cleaning effectiveness. If the unit is removed—a process possible quickly and easily with most models—rapid cooling prevents thorough cleaning. In addition, a stable holder for the hot glue pot and a drive for the glue roller are usually missing.
With this easy-to-use device, routine cleaning and maintenance tasks can be carried out easily by operating or maintenance personnel themselves.
