ZEMAN CZS-LINE – SPECIFICATIONS
The fully automatic “PURLIN” line, ZEMAN’s flagship product, is designed for the production of open, cold-formed sections such as C, Z, and Sigma profiles in various widths and shapes. This is achieved by fully automatic adjustment of the profiling rollers. Raw material up to 750 mm coil width and sheet thicknesses from 1.25 mm to 3 mm of steel grade S-390 or lower can be processed. The machine is configured for manufacturing components up to 15 meters in length. The width of the specially hardened profiling rollers can be infinitely adjusted via dedicated software. A fully integrated punching unit produces all types of fastening holes. The entire process runs continuously, i.e., the material is not stopped for individual operations such as punching or cross-cutting. To ensure high production efficiency, the line speed is dynamically optimized. The machine automatically decelerates and accelerates without operator intervention.
A decoiler with a maximum working load of 15 tons is mounted on a movable carriage, enabling precise centering of the material strip before feeding it to the straightening unit.

The straightening machine, together with a sickle-leveling system, straightens the material, ensures the required sheet flatness, and reduces the sickle shape on the conveyor belt.
2. Punching section
This section features five double, “flying” punching portals, which can be equipped with 20 small (up to 40 mm) or 10 large (up to 100 mm) tools (punches and dies) for creating fastening holes. A combination of these tools is also possible.
3. Pre-cut shears
A “flying” shear is used to pre-cut holes for the cutting shear. This process ensures material continuity and results in a more precise profile shape, especially at the start and end. It is an adaptive guillotine, adjusting the width of the cut hole to the width of the metal strip.
4. Guide carriage/SIGMA modules
The guide carriage centers the metal strip before it enters the roll forming machine. It is interchangeable with a module for producing Sigma profiles.
For manufacturing S+ profiles, the guide carriage is removed, and two Sigma modules are used. These modules position themselves fully automatically and independently on the left and right sides.
6. Rotary cut-off saw
The rotary cut-off saw with hooked blades separates the finished profile from the strip. The pre-cut holes produced by the pre-shearing unit are used here. As a “flying” cut-off saw, the sheet does not stop during cutting. Depending on the desired profile, a suitably aligned cutting cassette is used.
7. Discharge table
The discharge table automatically ejects finished profiles from the roller conveyor. The elements are then manually bundled into a package. The design allows for easy strapping of the bundled package. The table is designed to hold profiles up to 15 meters long and allows access by a forklift or overhead crane to pick up the profile package.
