Product Innovation: Sawing System Type "ORIX"

The sawing system enables fully automatic processing of a wide range of aluminium profiles. The machine is constructed on a robust base frame. For positioning of the sawing unit, linear guideways and precision carriages are used. The drives are equipped with servo motors. For cutting operations, the sawing unit advances 300 mm along the Y-axis, easily cutting special profiles, plates, or Item and Bosch profiles. The support table comprises movable rollers that position themselves according to the cutting length. All rollers are also mounted on precision linear guides. Additionally, the saw features a sturdy outfeed table for collecting the cut aluminium parts. (Optionally, cut parts can be discharged directly via a conveyor belt, including the removal of chips.) The system is available with a cutting length of 6,000 mm, resulting in an overall length of 7,000 mm. Delivery includes a suitable 2-channel minimum-quantity lubrication system. The unit will also be supplied with a 400 mm or 600 mm saw blade, as required.

Working process
Enter the profile length into the control system. The saw unit then moves to the preset position. The operator loads the aluminium profile and starts the saw. A head-cut detection sensor identifies the correct position for the head cut. The initial cut is made, after which the saw head retracts and repositions itself at the next entered coordinate, and the process is repeated.

These steps are repeated until the entire profile is cut. All cut parts are gently deposited either on the outfeed table or on the conveyor belt. Material clamping is performed—as with conventional aluminium saws—using vertical and horizontal clamps directly at the saw unit. Once the profile is cut, the saw head automatically returns to the loading position, ready for another cycle. Optional cross conveyors for automated infeed can be provided. Safety features such as fencing or a light curtain can also be integrated. The control system is available in two versions: 1) Diethei control system, 2) Siemens control system. Optional material sorting into different bins or by length is also available.
