Base Structure:
The base structure is a monolithic construction made from thick-walled steel, reinforced with welded box plates along the entire machine bed, delivering extreme rigidity. The bed design, with a broad base, is key to ensuring long-term precision and stability. The supporting frame features an exceptionally robust, monolithic steel base with heavy ribbing for outstanding stiffness. The exceptionally wide footprint was specially designed to provide stability to the machine, ensuring ongoing precision regardless of working conditions – the machine does not need to be anchored to the floor.

The base forms a large and solid mounting surface for the mobile gantry: the machining unit is therefore provided with a balanced, stable, and resilient support, capable of withstanding high loads for superior performance and greater accuracy.

The mobile gantry consists of a solid single-piece attached to the base, gliding on prism guides with recirculating ball-bearing carriages of the highest quality. The machining unit is mounted on it and travels along the Y and Z axes on prismatic guides with ball carriages. Movement of the lower mobile unit (X-axis) and the working unit along the bar of the mobile unit (Y-axis) is achieved via helical rack and pinion drive, providing increased tooth engagement for higher acceleration and greater axis speed (X and Y). The specially designed helical gearing ensures reduced wear of mechanical components and lower noise levels.

The vertical Z-axis is driven by a recirculating ball screw, ensuring perfect balance under dynamic loads and supporting strong acceleration and deceleration. The main milling unit is directly coupled to the Z-axis carriage for absolute machining quality.
