WHO PROVIDES THE FUNDING?
The German Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA) supports investments aimed at improving the energy efficiency of systems and production processes.

WHAT IS FUNDED?
Investments that demonstrably save energy and thereby reduce CO2 emissions may be subsidized.
For example, if you want to replace step-regulated welding machines with high energy consumption with efficient REHM welding technology, you can benefit from Module 4 funding. Costs for the preparation of the energy-saving concept and the implementation support by an external energy consultant are also eligible. The payback period of the complete measure must be more than two years.

HOW MUCH FUNDING IS AVAILABLE?
Up to:
- 40% of the costs
- €900 per ton of CO2
- €10 million
BAFA funds large companies up to 30% (max. €500 per ton of CO2 saved) and small and medium-sized enterprises up to 40% (max. €900 per ton of CO2 saved) of the eligible costs. The maximum subsidy per investment project is €10 million.

WHO CAN APPLY?
Private and municipal companies with a facility or branch in Germany are eligible to apply. The planned measures must be implemented within Germany. A BAFA-accredited energy consultant must be commissioned to prepare the required energy-saving concept.

HOW TO APPLY FOR FUNDING?
01. Inventory: Compile a list of all equipment to be replaced and all new equipment to be purchased.
02. Assessment: We capture the necessary data onsite and provide a preliminary estimate of your funding amount. At the same time, we will prepare a quote for the new welding units.
03. Energy Consultant: We process all data for you and pass it on to a cooperating energy consultant—saving you time and costs.
04. Application: After reviewing the data, the energy consultant submits the funding application on your behalf.
05. Processing time: If urgent, we can fast-track your application. Processing time is then reduced to approximately 10 to 15 days.
