SMC Technology - Smart Machine Control

A unique adjustment concept for step-controlled devices developed by Rehm: The arc length is regulated not only via voltage and welding current measurement, but also by digitally setting the wire feed speed. This enables outstanding welding results and ensures operation is easy and safe.

- SDI – Stepless Dynamic Induction

The continuously adjustable coil automatically ensures optimal arc ignition properties and high arc stability during welding. Fine adjustments can be made manually via the SDI knob. This allows heat input to be precisely controlled, positively affecting the amount of post-weld rework required.

- RSC – Realtime Speer Control

Digital monitoring and regulation of the wire feed speed with high precision and in real time. Thanks to RSC, changes in arc length are compensated more quickly and efficiently.

- CCM – Characteristic Curve Memory

Device-integrated database of welding parameters with expert knowledge. By selecting the wire type, diameter, and welding current/voltage level, the device synergistically sets pre-configured welding parameters. During operation, actual parameter values are continuously compared with set values, and corrections are made instantly if necessary.

- RMI – Rehm Machine Interface
