The OS 3008 welding fume extractor is ideal for extracting fumes and vapors generated during welding, polishing, cutting, or grinding of rare precious metals. It is capable of filtering large quantities of airborne metal particles harmful to human health. This machine features high filtration efficiency, low noise emissions, and a relatively small footprint. It is suitable for extraction during arc welding, carbon dioxide welding, MIG/MAG processes, slot arc welding, and welding in gas environments.

These extractors are equipped with high-efficiency filter cartridges, distinguished from conventional filters by the presence of a PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) membrane layer.

In conventional filters, the fiber length of typical filter materials like cotton, satin, paper, and other cellulose fibers range from 5 to 60 μm. Soot particles present in extracted fumes can accumulate and clog the filter element. Once clogging becomes excessive, ash can no longer be effectively removed, air resistance increases, and airflow decreases. As filter contamination increases, filtration efficiency drops significantly.

Our filter incorporates a PTFE membrane layer whose fine structure blocks microscopic dust particles. These particles form a dust cake on the surface of the filter material. Most dust particles remain on the outer surface of the filter without penetrating the filter medium. Over time, these particles can be removed by pulses of clean compressed air.
