The workpiece can be fed manually or by any mechanical device. However, the saw blade feed is automatic.
The descent speed of the saw arm is controlled by a hydraulic cylinder. The desired arm lowering speed is achieved via an oil flow control valve between the cylinder chambers.
The desired linear band speed is achieved by changing the pulley ratio between the worm gearbox and the drive motor. The base houses a coolant tank with an electric pump.
Its precision and robust construction place it at the forefront of band saws with such a large cutting capacity – up to 230 mm, and at any angle from 0 to 45 degrees.
The CORMAK BS912N band saw, due to innovative enhancements combined with bimetal blades from a renowned manufacturer, finds universal application in all metalworking shops where precision, quality, accuracy, and cutting speed are paramount.
The cutting angle is set using a swivel vise within a range from 0 to 45°.
The massive vice walls are constructed from durable cast iron. At the back of the vise there is an angle scale for quick and convenient setting of the cutting angle.
Both saw guides are equipped with a cooling system supplying coolant directly to the blade and the workpiece.
This saw model is equipped with a convenient handle for tensioning the blade and a quick-release vise for clamping the workpiece.
On the machine’s arm there is a blade tension indicator and a table for selecting blade tooth specs and cutting speed according to the type of steel to be cut.
At the lower arm position (after the material has been cut through), the drive to the saw blade is automatically switched off via a new-generation limit switch.
Operator safety during cutting is ensured by an electrical system that fulfills all CE requirements. The machine features a limit switch that stops the saw at the end of a cutting cycle, an emergency stop button (mushroom head), and a set of micro-switches that disable the machine if, for example, the belt drive cover or blade guard is opened.

Additionally, our machine model is equipped with a wire brush to clean chips from the blade, preventing the blade from clogging and ensuring more efficient cutting.
The blade guides are fitted with special carbide plates and bearings, that significantly improve blade tracking, blade life, straight cutting, cutting accuracy, and quality.
Carbide-guided blade control greatly reduces wear of the machine and the blade itself!
The arm is made of profiled ductile iron for maximum rigidity during operation and optimal vibration absorption.
The control panel is mounted on the saw head.
