Euro-Komplex EK-24

The EK-24 filtration unit is designed for extraction and filtration of sawdust, dust, and contaminants generated during the processing of wood and wood-based materials. The device is manufactured by the Polish company Euro-Komplex, specializing in the design, production, and installation of comprehensive dust extraction systems used across various industries, particularly in wood and furniture manufacturing plants.

This filter effectively removes contaminants from several machines simultaneously, such as circular saws, panel saws, four-side planers, edgebanders, CNC machines, milling plotters, and sanders.

The robust and durable filter frame is made of 2 mm thick hot-dip galvanized or powder-coated steel, with the inlet tunnel and reinforcements made of 3 mm steel. All components are assembled with 8.8-grade bolts with Teflon inserts. Notably, the integrated sieve basket is seamless and smooth, without any welded elements, facilitating airflow and preventing waste fractions from sticking to the walls.

The EK-24 is equipped with an ATEX-certified electrovibrator (0.09 kW) for cleaning filter bags made from antistatic and waterproof material (350 g/m², air permeability: 240 l/dm²/min). The bag-cleaning system is fully automated, operating in cycles tailored to the specific material being extracted.

Thanks to the return air flap (summer/winter damper), filtered air is returned to the production hall in winter, significantly helping to maintain the desired temperature and generating measurable energy savings.

The WTK fans used in EK-24 feature self-cleaning impellers and reinforced construction for long-term, stable operation.

Electric control is managed via a central unit equipped with protection devices and timer circuits for the electrovibrator and fan motor. The control cabinet includes a frequency inverter for precise fan speed regulation.

The rotary airlock valve separates the filter zone from the external environment, allowing only sawdust to pass while blocking air, so dust can freely fall into the collection bag without air turbulence. The airlock is fitted with a shock absorption system to protect against rotor impact in case large foreign objects enter the device.

A dry riser is installed on the filter for rapid delivery of water or extinguishing agent into the closed filter chamber via internal sprinklers. The system is equipped with a fire brigade coupling, allowing connection of fire service equipment or a hose directly from a hydrant.

The filter also features an explosion relief device that reduces pressure in the event of an explosion. It is designed to provide explosion venting in protected devices such as bins, silos, separators, filters, sorters, etc., where explosive atmospheres may occur. By venting an explosion to the atmosphere, the internal pressure is reduced below the maximum allowable pressure resistance of the protected device.
