Drum inner diameter: 420 mm Drum inner length: 1245 mm Drum wall thickness: 10 mm The medium to be separated is fed into the hollow central shaft of the decanter. Centrifugal force causes the solids to accumulate on the inner drum wall. Using a cylindrical-conical screw conveyor, the solids ring is transported to the discharge openings and expelled into the solids housing. The two liquid phases separate according to their specific densities, forming two liquid cylinders. The diameter of the liquid rings can be adjusted via skimming disc and overflow weir. One of the two phases is discharged without pressure, the other is discharged pressurized via the skimming disc. The solid dryness and liquid purity can be controlled by: - Changing the phase separator and skimmer diameters - Decanter bowl speed - Conveyor screw speed
