The IMA HKA hand-held edge banding device is a versatile tool for manually applying edge strips or veneer strips to panel-shaped workpieces. It is suitable for materials such as chipboard, blockboard, and MDF. The unit can be used either manually or with a processing table, allowing for high flexibility in operation. The HKA consists of two main components:

1. Hand-held device: Automatically feeds in the edge strip, applies glue, and presses it onto the workpiece.

2. Processing table: Includes a vacuum pump, a temperature controller, and various control elements. The hand-held device can be suspended on a cable hoist to facilitate operation.

Operating methods:

• Guided workpiece: The hand-held device is mounted to the processing table and the workpiece is moved manually.

• Guided hand-held device: The workpiece is fixed with vacuum suction cups, while the hand-held device is guided along.
