The hydraulic briquetting presses of the MPP NEM series compact materials such as aluminium, copper, brass, bronze, graphite, and other non-ferrous metals into dimensionally stable cylindrical briquettes. These machines are characterised by a robust construction, ensuring consistent briquette quality during continuous operation. The compaction process is performed without the addition of binding agents, relying solely on hydraulic pressure. Depending on the material, the volume of the input material can be reduced by up to 90%.
The standard hopper has a volume of approximately 0.5 m³. Hoppers with larger capacities or special containers for installation beneath existing extraction and filter systems as complete disposal units are also available. Depending on specific customer requirements, MPP NEM single units can be combined to create a complete system. The press’s chip container can be loaded manually, by conveyor belt, via extraction system, or with a tipping skip. For systems designed for fully automated operation, it is advisable to use a lift-tipping device in combination with a crusher. The MPP NEM series briquetting presses are designed for the production of briquettes from homogeneous material.
The length of each briquette is 40 to 75 mm depending on the model, and the diameter, according to type, is 50, 65, or 70 mm. For emulsion recovery, the briquetting press can be equipped with a collection tray, allowing coolant, cutting fluids, and lubricants to be collected and recovered. Non-ferrous metal chips up to approximately 20 mm in length are loaded into the storage hopper. A stirrer at the bottom of the hopper prevents material bridging and feeds material into the pre-compaction chamber. In this chamber, a hydraulic slide pre-compacts the material and pushes it into the press block. The main press cylinder then compacts the material against a vertical slide until the set pressing pressure is reached. The vertical cylinder then moves up, and the stable briquette is ejected.
