Roller glue application units for edge banding machines require regular maintenance, care, and cleaning. Captured chips, burnt adhesive residues, and other foreign particles negatively affect a uniform, thin adhesive application. This applies to the use of EVA hot-melt adhesives and is especially important when using PUR adhesives. When the glue pot is inside the machine, poor accessibility limits the effectiveness of cleaning. If the unit is removed—which is quick and easy for most manufacturers—the rapid cooling often prevents thorough cleaning. Additionally, a stable stand for the still-hot glue pot is usually missing, as is a drive for the glue roller.

With this easy-to-use device, regular cleaning and maintenance work can be easily carried out independently by the operator or maintenance personnel.
