The hydraulic briquetting presses of the MPP NEM series compress materials such as aluminum, copper, brass, bronze, and other non-ferrous metals into dimensionally stable cylindrical briquettes. These machines are distinguished by their robust construction, ensuring consistent briquette quality even in continuous operation. The pressing process is carried out solely by hydraulic pressure, without any binding agents. Depending on the material, the volume of the input material can be reduced by up to 90%.
The standard silo has a capacity of approx. 0.5 m³. Silos with larger capacities or special containers for installation under existing extraction and filter systems as complete disposal units are also available. MPP NEM machines can be combined into a system based on customer requirements. The chip hopper of the press can be fed manually, via conveyor belt, extraction system, or with a tipping skip. For fully automated operation, the use of a lifting/tipping device in conjunction with a shredder is recommended. The MPP NEM series briquetting presses are designed for the production of briquettes from homogeneous material.
The length of a briquette depends on the model and ranges from 40 to 80 mm; the diameter, depending on the type, is 50, 65, or 70 mm. For emulsion recovery, the briquetting press can be equipped with a drip tray, allowing coolants, cutting, and lubricating fluids to be collected and recovered. Non-ferrous metal chips up to approximately 20 mm in length can be loaded into the press's storage hopper. A stirring unit at the bottom of the hopper prevents bridging and moves the material into the pre-compaction chamber. Within this chamber, a hydraulic slide pre-compacts the material and pushes it into the pressing block. The main pressing cylinder compresses the material against a vertical slide until the preset pressure is reached. The vertical cylinder then lifts, and the compact briquette is ejected.
The more homogeneous the input material, the more uniform the briquette length.
