The hydraulic briquetting presses of the MPP NEM series compress materials such as aluminum, copper, brass, bronze, and other non-ferrous metals into dimensionally stable, cylindrical briquettes. The machines are characterized by a robust construction, ensuring consistent briquette quality in continuous operation. The pressing process is carried out purely by hydraulic pressure, without the addition of any binding agents. Depending on the material, the volume of the input material can be reduced by up to 90%.
The standard silo has a volume of approx. 0.5 m³. Silos with larger volumes or special containers designed for installation beneath existing extraction and filtration systems, acting as a complete disposal unit, are also available. Depending on customer requirements, individual MPP NEM machines can be combined into a system. The chip container of the press can be loaded manually, via conveyor belt, using a dust extraction system or a tipping container. For systems requiring fully automatic operation, the use of a lifting/tipping device in combination with a shredder is recommended. The briquetting presses of the MPP NEM series are designed for the production of briquettes from homogeneous material.
The length of a briquette varies depending on the model, from 40 to 80 mm, while the diameter is either 50, 65, or 70 mm, depending on the type. An optional drip tray can be fitted for emulsion recovery, allowing coolant, cutting, and lubricating fluids to be collected and recovered. Non-ferrous metal chips up to a length of approx. 20 mm are filled into the storage container of the briquetting press. An agitator is installed at the bottom of the container to prevent bridging and to feed the material into the pre-compactor chamber. In this chamber, a hydraulic slide pre-compacts the material and pushes it into the press block. The main press cylinder presses the material against a vertical slide until the set pressure is reached. The vertical cylinder then moves upward, and the stable briquette is ejected.
The more homogeneous the input material, the more uniform the briquette length.
