Product description

The horizontal metal band saw with swivel saw bow enables perpendicular cuts to the workpiece axis as well as miter cuts at any angle between 0° and 60°.

The material to be cut can be fed manually or via any mechanical infeed system, while the tool feed is automatic.

The blade guides are equipped with special carbide plates and bearings which significantly influence the band guidance, blade service life, straightness, as well as the accuracy and quality of the cut.

The saw bow, made from rigid profiled cast iron construction, provides high stability and low vibration during cutting. The bow features an operator’s panel for machine control.

Drive from the electric motor to the saw band drive wheel is via a worm gearbox. The saw blade is tensioned across two cast iron wheels and is guided by a manual tensioning mechanism and adjustable rolling and sliding carbide guides.

Inside the machine there is a separate coolant tank with electric pump, which increases the blade life and improves cut quality.

The lowering speed of the saw bow (cutting speed) is hydraulically controlled, while the feed speed is set via the control panel. Two blade speeds are available: 36 and 72 m/min.

When the saw bow reaches its lowest position (after completing a cut), the blade drive is automatically switched off.

Safety is ensured by:

- Saw blade guards
- Microswitches that stop the motor when the cutting cycle is complete or a guard is opened
- Automatic machine shutdown in case of saw blade breakage
