The unpacking and preparation station consists of: • an unpacking area • a sieving unit for used powder • a feeder for virgin powder • and a scale for preparing plastic powder. By progressively raising the build platform using a foot pedal, the powder bed with the components is pushed out of the exchange frame. The sintered components are manually unpacked from the powder bed. Reusable recycled powder from the powder bed is swept onto the adjacent perforated plate and falls through a hose into a sieving bowl. The used powder is sieved into the powder container positioned on a scale beneath the sieving unit. The amount of sieved recycling powder can be precisely determined using the scale. Subsequently, a previously determined quantity of virgin powder is added to the recycling powder in the powder container by turning the hand crank. The prepared plastic powder must then be mixed in the mixing station before it can be returned to the build process. Mixing station We are offering an unused drum mixing station from EOS GmbH. On the mixing station, virgin and recycled powder—filled into powder containers by the unpacking and preparation station—are mixed. A powder container is placed or rolled onto the mixing station and then continuously rotated for a preset period. Once the set mixing time has elapsed, the station stops, and the powder container can be removed.
